MFF Universe is the official documentary archive dedicated to the life, work, expeditions, and artistic legacy of Sergey Melnikoff (MFF) — photographer, writer, explorer, artist, National Hero of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, and one of the most outspoken international critics of the Russian regime.
In recent years, a number of counterfeit “Wikipedia-style” websites and other online resources have appeared on the Internet, disseminating false, misleading, or deliberately distorted information about Sergey Melnikoff and his activities. Some of these publications have contributed to public controversy and have misled journalists, institutions, and members of the public in several countries.
To address this problem, MFF Universe has been created as a permanent reference resource containing information supported by documentary evidence, original publications, archival materials, photographs, official records, media reports, and project documentation covering more than fifty years of creative work, exploration, and humanitarian activity across more than 150 countries and territories.
Every effort has been made to ensure that the information presented here is supported by original sources, contemporary records, and documentary evidence.
The MFF Universe collection is currently being prepared for publication in several languages in order to make these materials accessible to a wider international audience.
